Station naming and promotional strata

Recovered development history, 25 September 2026. This record preserves naming as chronological evidence rather than treating the Station's names as interchangeable labels.

Established development direction

The working sequence is Solar Development Complex Project (and related development-era wording), then Solar Habitation Complex, then the increasingly generic the Station, with Logos Station belonging to a later post-Tribunal period. The Tribunal Group dissolved before the later Logos Station name emerged.

Consequently, Tribunal-era documents must not use “Logos Station”, “L.O.G.O.S. Station” or “Project Logos” as the public name of the megastructure. LOGOS is a component of the Tribunal's operational and later governance architecture, not the product being sold to prospective inhabitants.

Why the distinction matters

The naming sequence became a dating instrument for fictional artefacts. “Development” language belongs naturally to construction and investment; “Habitation” reflects the transition toward selling completed places and lives; “the Station” reflects institutional erosion and ordinary speech; the later association with LOGOS reflects a world in which the original corporate vocabulary has faded.

This also prevents retroactive contamination of early material by the late setting. Zenovka occupies only a narrow late window in a history that extends long before and after the Tribunal's active construction programme.

Promotional logic

Tribunal advertising was developed around the idea that inhabitants are not being asked to admire a megastructure. They are being sold countries, homes, landscapes, security and ordinary futures within it. Arangale was used as an example of a country inside the Solar Habitation Complex; imagery of unbuilt landscapes should therefore carry a small “Artist's representation” notice rather than pretending to be contemporary photography.

The slogan A Brighter Future belongs to the Tribunal's sincere aspirational voice. The creative direction does not require the slogan to be cynical in retrospect: later contraction, liquidation and cannibalisation can coexist with an earlier genuine belief in the project.

Working periodisation

Promotional material has been explored as successive strata: an early utopian/home-building phase; later investment and development material; cutback and deferred-phase notices; and post-crisis paperwork in which passenger, civic or construction systems are repurposed. Exact dates are deliberately left elastic. Period vocabulary and design treatment should establish sequence without fixing an unnecessarily rigid calendar.

Superseded or rejected usage

Evidential boundary

This record documents creative and naming decisions. Finished Tribunal brochures, posters, prospectuses, amended notices and other fictional documents belong separately in 100. Graphic or architectural reference sources belong in 700 or 750 according to evidential role.

Open questions

The exact point at which Solar Development Complex wording gives way to Solar Habitation Complex; the duration of each public identity; whether intermediate regional names existed; how quickly “the Station” became dominant after Tribunal dissolution; and when “Logos Station” first appears remain unresolved.
